On Saturday 13th January, 2024, the ODPM facilitated Incident Command System (I00) ICS-100 Training for its Volunteers and new members of staff. This course describes the history, features, principles, and organisational structure of the Incident Command System.
The purpose of this course was to help clarify the chain of command and supervision responsibilities to improve accountability, provide an orderly, systematic planning process, implement a common, flexible, predesigned management structure and leverage consistent communications systems, as well as plain language to improve communications.
Participants would have received a certificate of completion in the ICS-100 course.
