On Friday June 11, 2010, six primary schools competed for the challenge trophy in the finals of the ODPM's first National Primary Schools Quiz. The quiz focused on topics in comprehensive disaster management and took place at the San Fernando Room, Crowne Plaza, Port of Spain.

Sacred Heart Girls Roman Catholic School emerged at the top, with Bryn Mawr Preparatory School and Atwell's Educational Institute placing second and third respectively. In his remarks, the former CEO of ODPM, Colonel (Ret'd) George Robinson, stated that at the end of it all, "there were only winners" among the participating teams. He was impressed by the energy and high spirits of the students towards knowledge of disaster risk management. He also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education, represented by the Curriculum Coordinator Mr. Doltan Ramsubeik.
