Today, the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) presented the Seasonal Outlook for the 2023 Wet Season and the 2023 Hurricane Season Forecast for the Area of Interest to Trinidad and Tobago to assist stakeholders with decision-making and planning for the upcoming seasons. 

 

Following the climate outlook presentation, representatives of the ODPM, the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government (MRDLG) and the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) will participated in a moderated panel discussion on plans and upcoming initiatives pertaining to Trinidad and Tobago’s capacity to respond to hazard impacts, with particular reference to the challenges emerging as a result of ongoing climate change.
