What is a Hazard

 

A hazard is a dangerous phenomenon, substance, human activity or condition that may cause the following:
  • loss of life, injury or other health impacts,
  • property damage,
  • loss of livelihoods and services,
  • social and economic disruption, or
  • environmental damage.
