Yesterday, Wednesday 4th October 2023, was day 3 of a 5-day Multi-Agency Training in Regional Search and Rescue session held at the Savonetta Fire Station, which is being facilitated by the CDEMA – Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and World Hope International.
Yesterday’s training consisted of both theory and practical work such as hazmat training, rope work, rappelling from high structures, moving heavy debris in the field and transporting injured persons.
The ODPM, along with the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF), Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), and Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS) are participating in this endeavour.
