Information Bulletin: Tropical Depression #15

At 11:00 a.m. today, an area of disturbed weather became more organized and was identified as Tropical Depression #15. The centre of Tropical Depression #15 at 5:00 p.m. this evening was located neat Latitude 18.2N, Longitude 42.0 W, that is approximately 1930 km west of the Cape Verde Islands.

Tropical Depression #15 is moving toward the north-northwest at 22km/hr and a turn toward the northwest with a decrease in forward speed is expected by tomorrow morning. On the most recent forecast track, Tropical Depression #15 will pose no threat to any land masses.

Maximum sustained winds within Tropical Depression #15 are 55 km/hr with higher gusts. Little change in strength is expected during the next day and Tropical Depression #15 is forecast to dissipate by Friday. Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada and its dependencies are not under the direct threat of Tropical Depression #15.

Though Trinidad and Tobago may experience some showery activity tonight and tomorrow this would be in no way related to or be because of Tropical Depression #15.
