Official Statement from Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service: Trinidad and Tobago is not under any Tropical Storm Threat, Watch or Warning

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorlogical Service issues this official statement to dispel any rumours that have been circulating regarding Trinidad and Tobago being placed under a Tropical Storm Warning at this time.

Over the past few hours, parts of Trinidad particularly southern and western areas have been experiencing cloudy conditions with moderate to heavy showers and thundershowers. This was due to the passage of a Tropical Wave in a very moist and unstable atmosphere which was enhanced by strong upper level dynamics. Tobago is currently experiencing light showers. SHowery activity will gradually abate and give way to settled conditions by nightfall

WE WISH TO UNDERSCORE THAT AT THIS TIME TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO IS NOT UNDER ANY TROPICAL STORM THREAT, WATCH OR WARNING.
